Global Training & Certification Terms of Service (GTCTS)
The legally binding agreement between you and the Academy when you use this site or enrol.
1. Introduction
Bodywork & Tantra Academy Private VTEC Training & Certification Framework Last Updated: 06 September 2026 These Global Training & Certification Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all online courses, digital materials, assessments, and certificates provided by Bodywork & Tantra Academy (“the Academy”) under its private VTEC framework. By purchasing or accessing any course, the student (“the Learner”) agrees to these legally binding Terms. These Terms apply internationally, subject to mandatory consumer law in the learner’s jurisdiction.
2. Nature of Training
The customer purchases personal access to the 100% online educational programme identified on the relevant course page, together with its written learning materials, assessments and certificate pathway where stated. No classroom attendance is provided or required. Where a course requires practical evidence, the learner uploads the stated evidence online for assessment. The purchase does not include equipment, insurance, registration, licensing or membership of a professional body. The Academy provides educational and vocational learning in massage, bodywork, holistic therapies, beauty, wellness, tantra-based education and other subjects. Training is non-medical and does not provide medical, physiotherapy, counselling or regulated healthcare credentials.
3. Course Access and Digital Content
Course access is provided to the purchasing learner for the access period stated on the course page. Access is personal, non-transferable and subject to these Terms. Digital content may include written lessons, PDF notes, knowledge checks, case studies and assessments. Availability can be interrupted temporarily for maintenance, security or circumstances outside the Academy’s reasonable control. Learners need a compatible device and internet connection. Course access may be suspended where these Terms are breached.
4. Assessments, Retakes and Certificate Conditions
Learners must complete the course requirements and achieve the stated assessment standard before a Certificate of Completion may be issued. Assessment requirements, pass marks and permitted retakes are described in the course. The Academy may require resubmission where work is incomplete, unsafe, copied or does not meet the stated standard. A certificate confirms successful completion of the online training programme and its assessment requirements only. It does not, by itself, demonstrate hands-on competence or constitute a professional licence, government qualification, regulated professional qualification, QQI award or NFQ award.
5. Accreditation and Professional Recognition
VTEC — Vocational Training & Education College — is the Academy’s private training and course-accreditation framework. VTEC certification is not a government-regulated qualification, QQI qualification, NFQ award, statutory licence or legal entitlement to practise. The Academy does not guarantee recognition or acceptance by any employer, insurer, local authority, professional body, accreditation organisation or other third party. Learners must check the requirements that apply to their course, intended work and location before purchase and before offering services.
6. Intellectual Property and Use of Course Materials
All course content, including manuals, PDFs, assessments, branding, and certification materials, is the intellectual property of the Academy. Learners may not: • copy, resell, or distribute materials • teach Academy content as their own • create competing courses using Academy content • use Academy branding without written permission • share login details or course access Legal action may be taken for infringement.
7. Acceptable Use and Conduct
Learners must use the platform and training safely, lawfully and respectfully. Harassment, abuse, unsafe practice, account sharing, copying, unauthorised distribution, fraudulent assessment work, misuse of Academy branding, or inappropriate use of tantra or bodywork material is prohibited. The Academy may suspend or terminate access for a serious or repeated breach, subject to applicable law.
8. Practical Training, Scope of Practice and Safety
Online study builds theoretical knowledge. It does not, by itself, demonstrate practical competence or qualify a learner to perform treatments professionally. Where a course requires practical demonstration, the learner submits the stated evidence online for assessment. Learners must not work on members of the public before they are competent and appropriately authorised. Learners are responsible for consultation, consent, hygiene, contraindications, patch testing where relevant, safe equipment use, client records, referral and working within their scope. This training is educational only and is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
9. Learner Responsibility, Insurance and Permissions
The learner is responsible for ensuring that they have the knowledge, practical skills, equipment, insurance, registrations, licences and permissions required before offering any treatment or service. Requirements vary by country, region, insurer and treatment type. The Academy does not guarantee insurance acceptance. Learners must follow applicable law, health and safety requirements and professional standards and complete any additional hands-on training required for their intended work.
10. No Employment, Income or Business Guarantee
The Academy does not guarantee employment, self-employment, business success, client demand, earnings, income or career progression. Any examples of possible uses of learning are educational illustrations, not promises of an outcome. Results depend on the learner’s prior experience, practical competence, legal position, insurance, market conditions and personal effort.
11. Third-Party Products and Manufacturer Instructions
References to products, tools, equipment or brands are educational and do not replace the manufacturer’s instructions. Learners must follow current manufacturer directions, warnings, patch-testing rules, safety data, expiry dates and local product restrictions. The Academy is not responsible for a third-party product, a manufacturer’s change, or use contrary to its instructions.
12. Cancellation and Refund Rights
Purchases are subject to the Refund Policy and to any mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a learner expressly requests immediate access to digital content, cancellation rights may be affected once supply begins. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that apply to faulty, misdescribed or unavailable content.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Academy is not liable for injury or loss caused by unsafe or unauthorised practice, failure to follow contraindications or manufacturer instructions, work outside the learner’s competence, third-party acceptance decisions, employment or business outcomes, or failure to meet local legal, licensing or insurance requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Changes to Courses and These Terms
The Academy may update course material, assessments, instructors, presentation and these Terms to improve accuracy, safety, compliance or learning quality. Changes will not remove a learner’s completed certificate record. Material changes affecting an active learner will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the learner’s country. Courts or dispute-resolution bodies with mandatory jurisdiction retain that authority.
